The short version

We collect the minimum we need to run a website: standard server logs, optional email if you subscribe, and standard advertising/analytics cookies (which you can decline). We do not sell your data. We have no idea who you are unless you tell us.

Who we are

Crochet Gallery is operated by an individual editor based in North Africa. Contact: see the contact form. For this policy, "we" means the editor; "you" means anyone visiting crochetgallery.com.

What we collect

1. Server logs. Every web request leaves a log: timestamp, IP address, user-agent string, path requested, referrer. We use these for debugging and abuse prevention. Logs older than 30 days are deleted.

2. Email address (if you subscribe). If you sign up for The Saturday Edit, we store your email and the date you signed up. Used only to send the newsletter. Unsubscribe with one click; that deletes your row.

3. Contact-form submissions. If you fill the contact form, we keep what you wrote so we can reply. We delete these once the conversation is closed.

4. Cookies & analytics. See our cookie policy for the full list. We use Google Analytics (anonymized) and Google AdSense; both are subject to Google's own privacy policies.

What we don't collect

  • We don't track you across other websites.
  • We don't build advertising profiles ourselves.
  • We don't sell, rent, or trade your data.
  • We don't store credit card or payment info — we don't take payments.

Third parties

These third parties may process data about your visit:

  • Google AdSense — ad delivery. Privacy: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Analytics — aggregate visit stats. We use IP anonymization. Opt out here.
  • Google Fonts — font files for typography. Served from Google's CDN.
  • Hostinger — our web host. They see standard server logs.

Your rights

If you're in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have the right to:

  • Ask what we have on file about you.
  • Ask us to correct it.
  • Ask us to delete it ("right to be forgotten").
  • Ask us to stop processing it.
  • Take your data and leave (data portability).

Email the editor via the contact form with the subject "Privacy request". We action requests within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If we learn we have, we delete it.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when something changes (new analytics tool, new feature, etc). The "updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
