What's a cookie, again

A cookie is a small piece of data a website asks your browser to store. We use cookies for two narrow purposes: analytics (counting visitors so we know what's read) and ads (so the ads aren't completely random).

The cookies we set

This Site itself does not set any first-party cookies. We rely entirely on your browser's defaults and the third-party services listed below.

Third-party cookies

The following third-party services may set their own cookies when their scripts run on a page you visit:

  • Google AdSense (ad delivery, personalization) — __gads, __gpi, IDE, others. Google's full list.
  • Google Analytics (visit counting) — _ga, _ga_*. IP anonymization is on.
  • Google Fonts — no cookies set, just font files.

How to decline

You can block or delete cookies through your browser's settings (look for "Privacy" or "Cookies" in preferences). Most browsers also support private/incognito mode, which discards cookies when you close the window.

Service-specific opt-out tools:

Do Not Track

We respect browser Do Not Track signals where technically possible. Note: Google's services may still set cookies regardless of DNT — opt out at the links above for those specifically.
