What we'll act on

We will promptly remove content from the Site if you tell us:

  1. You own the copyright in the work (or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf).
  2. The URL where the infringing content appears on crochetgallery.com.
  3. A description of the original work (URL of your pattern page, image, etc).
  4. Your contact details (email is enough).
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information you've given us is accurate.

Use the contact form with subject "DMCA". You don't have to be a US rights-holder; we honour takedown requests from anywhere.

What we'll do

  1. Acknowledge your request within 24 hours.
  2. Remove the infringing content (usually within 48 hours) while we verify.
  3. Notify you when the removal is complete.
  4. If we believe the takedown is in error, we'll let you know and discuss before reinstating.

Counter-notice

If content of yours was removed and you believe the takedown was wrong (mistaken identity, fair use, etc), reply to our removal email with: your contact info, identification of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake, and your consent to local jurisdiction. We'll reinstate within 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a lawsuit.

Why we don't need a lawyer for most cases

Most pattern takedowns are handled by a friendly email. We curate; we don't host instructions. If your image is showing as a preview and you'd prefer it didn't, just ask — we'll take it down regardless of whether the legal threshold for DMCA is met.

Repeated infringement

If the same source generates multiple confirmed takedowns, we'll block that source from future curation entirely.
